A head-style upstream race on the Willamette River in Corvallis

• Events: Mixed 4x, Mixed 8, Womens 8, Mens 1x; first place medals for each event

• Racing followed by medal ceremony and lunch

 

What to bring

• Bring folding chairs to watch the racing from the bank and enjoy lunch

• Bow numbers will be provided

 

Where

• Course length corresponds to about 4800m of rowing, including the current (roughly 1.1 m/sec); all events finish at the dock, with spectator viewing from the bank above

• Note that owing to the need to dock and launch upstream, the traffic pattern here requires that we row on the left side of the river 

 

Orientation

• The lane closest to the shore is generally the fastest; buoys will mark hazards

• We will provide a coxswains-eye video at a virtual coxswains/scullers meeting the evening before the event
